The company grew out of a family-owned business that was founded in 1927. During the seventies a conscious choice was made to focus on one specific collection (xandres), a clearly defined target group and a solid marketing strategy.

In 1992 Andres added a new line to the xandres collection – Hampton Bays, it was aimed at a second target group and offered them a more casual collection. Other new niche groups were also targeted with collections such as xandres x-line (from EU size 44) and corporate wear projects. Each month we bring out new collections in our own pilot and concept stores and multi-brand boutiques.

Andres has an excellent reputation for quality and perfection. Two teams of experienced stylists work independently creating the xandres/xandres x-line and Hampton Bays collection. The selection of the fabrics is of crucial importance in the creative process: only the very best quality fabrics are selected. What’s more, the fabrics are all carefully tested for wear and tear and comfort, for crumple-resistance and colour-fastness. Quality and perfection are also basic criteria when it comes to the cuts: comfort and aesthetics need to blend seamlessly into a technically perfect cut.
